Africa
I hear Africa singing, the distinct sound I hear,
Those of tigers, each one singing his roar mighty
and strong,
The giraffes eating from the tops of the highest trees,
The zebra running as he escapes the lion, or runs just
for fun,
The guide man singing what belongs to him in his jeep, the
tourist awing at many beautiful sights,
The parrots whistling a beautiful tune as he sits on his branch,
The joyful singing of the lioness, or the young male lurking for food,
or the lion cub sleeping,
Each singing what belongs to him or her and to none else,
The day belongs to animals- at night the native people sleep, soft, quiet
Singing with joyfulness their strong melodious songs.
