Yellowstone

February 13, 2013

The snow drifts lazily from tree to ground,
Slowly making it's way around the park
Fresh footprints, still crisp in the snow, cover the roads.
Sheep stand at the edge of a cliff,
Silently judging everyone that passes by.
Trees stretch their arms out in all directions,
Some bare and others covered in a thick layer of white powder.
A wolf is heard in the distance,
It's slow, steady howl echoing in the mountains.
All the world comes to visit.

I wrote this for an English assignment, inspired by my time in Yellowstone this January.
