No More Tears
Dear mother please help me,
I’m breaking all your hearts.
I’m reckless and unstable,
Ripping it part by part.
I’ve been tortured and tossed away,
I wish I knew why.
Tell me I’ll be ok,
Tell me I won’t die.
I’ve taken hits,
I’ve taken shots.
I fell from the sky,
And never was caught.
I am on my knees,
Begging for an end to this fear.
Mother tell me I’ll live,
Because I want no more tears.
Take my hand and pull me up,
I am lying here in pain.
I’m bleeding profusely,
Sitting like a dog in the rain.
As time goes by,
I think I could be the one.
Put me in your arms,
And call me your son.
The storm has subsided,
And my scars are heeled.
When it comes to strength,
I am the winner on the battlefield.
All this love and honor,
Will last in years.
You raised me in the midnight air,
And with no more tears.
