Nearest to me,
Are your blue eyes
Soft,
Safe,
Spurning goodbyes
I finally heard
The whisper of the waves
I did not know but
I had been saved
The azure of your soul
Absent from home
You stayed strong
While I held on
All eyes on me
Fragile,
Weak,
The blue in your eyes,
Now drowning me
Missing from my sight
But enduring in my heart
I hope I become
All that you are
