Monsters In My Closet
I glance up
12:03 my clock says
I shutter
Knowing there coming
There coming for me
For my body
Possessed
Every night
No matter
Where I am
Or who I’m with
They find me
And take over
Pull me apart
From the inside out
And terrify me
I see their eyes glow
And pull my head under my covers
Bury my face in my bear
And wait for the pain
That I’ve felt every night
Since the day I was born
The pain of possession
It comes slowly
Like a dull, numbing feeling
Then, Bam! Like lightning
Hitting every inch of your body
They are there
Inside
As the pain pulls back
I lose feelings in my hands and body
And now
I’m theirs to play with
Possessed
