Rooting up my world
Rooting up my world
My father said it would all work out,
you’ll meet new friends,
think of it as adventure,
he kept promising it would all work out.
The first month was the worst,
as i found myself living in a closet,
closed off to all my old friends, memories, and wonderful house.
I spent most my time ripping out floors, walls and finding a dead mouse.
Don’t worry I promise you it will all work out.
A mid-summer distraction eased my depression,
We welcomed an addition to our family,
another boy, third in succession.
Things started to get better as Summer came to a close,
an Olympic record was set by more than a nose
I was ecstatic and wanted to shout
As my father kept saying
It will all work out.
