It's amazing what some clothes can cover up
Because nice clothes don't reflect a broken home
Scars inside and out behind withering fabric that frays
It keeps you warm on the outside
It keeps your secrets to yourself
Nice clothes don't scream mentally unstable or perverted
The right clothes can cover your insecurities and hide them from others
Many don't seem to check what's underneath
Passing by they just see a glimpse
They'll never know you're story or what's hidden underneath
Because it's amazing what some clothes can cover up

I wrote this for my friend who I've known for a long time who has to deal with a lot of things she doesn't deserve to. Many people don't realize that although there is a chance they might not be, some people they pass by could be hiding something very deep, maybe even with their clothes, you'll never know their story, or what they've been through.
