Walking through the doorway

Poor, innocent children sit uninformed their futures were about halt
Loving parents blindly say their last goodbyes like a wound mounded with salt

The salt of the tears about to rush down
The whole world mourning Newtown

Women and men about to discard their titles of teacher and become true heroes
Mirroring the selfless firefighters at ground zero

The heartless monster takes his final steps out of the world,
walking through the doorway
and into the hallway
