In Life and death
A single chrysanthemum sprouted up
Promising a new hope
A new found love quickly discovered
the welcoming sun beat down her wrath on to the
seemingly healthy ground; participating in the downfall
completely sure
A love perfect to the world
The petals, vibrant, share an undeniable smile
Laughing at the squirrels and the bees and the snakes
but not sure at
all; about its purpose in blooming
and as the elements continued to abuse-living at all
When all the wildlife falls away
The smiles and laughter become strained
A decision to make
whipped by the wind and pelted
by the rain; still no release
a decision to make
Wind to carry the seeds to another place
or steadfast and slowly wilt away
