I used to have a lemon tree
that was everything to me.
I'd nestle in its shade
on boiling summer days.
Nothing will ever compare
to the love we once shared

I loved my lemon tree
and I knew it loved me
but over time I forgot to water it
and it withered down to dust and grit
I used to have a lemon tree
and She, was everything to me.

My mother and sister fought day in and day out. My sister wouldn't speak to me or my mom. My dad works to his breading point. My parents must have forgotten that I'm still their little girl. Maybe they think I don't need them or maybe we all just gave up on eachother
