Wild spirits unbroken,
The land is ours to roam.
Words remained unspoken,
Though in our hearts we've always known.
We were always meant to be
Living, wild and free.
Grazing in the meadows,
Or running in the wind.
But now we live in shadows
Although we never sinned.
What brought this upon us,
We have yet to learn.
Now so broken-hearted
To be free is all we yearn.

"Spirit" was my favorite movie growing up, and while watching it late one night, I was inspired to write this.
