Strip away your skin
And allow yourself to just
Fall down with me.
I want to feel your bones
Softer then feathers under your skin.
I want to get lost in
The atoms you’re made of,
The marrow that just might
Save us.

I want to taste your soul and listen
To your tongue.
I want to memorize your heartbeat
And make it my favorite hum.
I want to sleep outside and feel the rain
Warm and soaking into our hair.
I want to keep you close to me
And breathe in all your air.

I want to kiss your lungs
Bronchial tubes and all.
I want to climb up your spine
And make your vertebrae crawl.
I want to hug your heart
Heavy and jubilant in your chest
I want to love your heart
At its worst, average and at its best.

I’d like to count your eyelashes
And the stardust you’re made up of.
I want to count your scars, bruises, cavities,
Bumps, rough patches and everything
Normal people like to touch up.

I want to become you, know every
Inch of your mind.
I need to be someone you’ll never find
Because if you never find me
You’ll forever keep looking,
Never loose interest
And for an eternity I’ll be looming.

In the depth that is you
In the empty spaces
In your shade of hue
In all your everyday faces

Of people you never get to know
Of people you never ask how they are
Of people you’ll never see again

So promise me you’ll hold me close.
Swear to me you’ll love me dear

In and out and in and out of years
I swear to God I’ll never find
One lovelier made then thee
Never will there be another
Greater made for me.
