A Great Idea Of Rio
A Long, long, long time ago in Africa a little giraffe named Rio
was so mad at her parents that she decided to leave her home and her parents.
When she was far, far, far away from her house she didn't know how
to go back. She wanted to go back because she didn't know what to do alone, but it was too late for her.
Days later, she was so hungry she wanted to eat something. Minutes
later a boy giraffe was walking by where she was so she asked him, “Hey, where are you going?”
He answered, “I am going to buy food
for my family.” She went with him to buy food.
She fell in love with that boy, and she wanted to kiss him, but she couldn't kiss him because of their problem.
Rio wanted to come up with an idea to solve that problem.
She asked him to take her where all his family was. His family lived in a big valley.
A big group of giraffes lived there. Rio couldn't believe it.
Back then, boy
giraffes had big necks and girls giraffes had a short necks. So they
couldn't kiss each other. Rio came up with an idea to solve their
problem. Her plan was that all girls giraffes would climb trees and then hang their heads from big trees,
Day after day, they hung upside down. Rio's solution was working their necks were stretching, they would check their necks everyday to see how long their necks were
growing or stretching.
Once their necks were long enough they ran to their husbands were. Now
they could kiss their husbands any time they wanted. Rio was proud of herself.
