Red bleeding down the walls,
To the right, left, in front and behind.
Red floors, ceilings and windows,
Obstructing the view of the world.
Trapped in a red society cult,
Perfect on the outside,
Nice homes, good parents and great schools.
Children succeeding in the classroom,
Receiving the A’s the parents demand.
Attending school just for the grade, not to learn.
Everything is perfect,
Mom made lunch,
Dad handing out money,
College is paid for,
Set for life.
Coolest cliques of friends,
Wearing their red proud.
Laughing loud having great fun,
Clogging the commons,
Suffocating out every breath of blue.
Everybody caught up in them self,
No time for anybody different.
Works not necessary,
Everything’s just handed over.
No understanding to anything but themselves.
Same clothes, same thoughts.
Maturity is never accepted,
You can’t even think for yourself.
If you do, you are in the hallway,
Looking in.
High school kids,
Stuck in a fantasy world.
A rude awakening’s ahead.

This is a poem about how I feel when i walk the halls of my high school and how i feel people should grow up and mature.
