The End to One and Beginning to Another
I tremble and I shake,
Tears streaming from my eyes.
A woman on my mind.
This woman I no longer know,
A stranger not welcomed in my life.
What happened to the mother I knew?
There every day,
Every moment.
Her kids were her number one.
No one ever came above.
She went the extra mile,
To keep us happy.
Then he came.
In walked this man,
My brother wondering,
“Where is my dad?”
Anger fills me,
As each day goes on.
Because the longer he stays,
The more I lose my mom to
The devil in disguise,
Her priority he's become.
Never saw too much of my father,
His friends were more important.
But as each day goes on,
He brings a smile to my face.
He has made me a proud daughter.
A man who never was a father,
Became a father at his best.
While my mother falls down,
My father rises up.
My mother,
Oh my dear mother,
Has let the devil in disguise drag her down with him,
A
Little
At
A
Time.
