Tear drops fall as I lay,
as I realize you're still away.
Each day passes, your image still stays.
The jokes, the laughter, and the tears will help me get through these next few years.
As I remember the man you once were, the one with all the hurt, but too afraid to show, he just threw it in the dirt.
This wonderful man who brought much joy, is forever in our hearts
to slowly ease the pain that comes
our way.
Nothing will be the same since the
day you went away, when you left,
the pain flew in gasping for
heartache deep in our chest.
The moment we laid you to rest is the moment we all were blessed,
blessed to know you're up above,
happy and painless.

My grandfather recently passed away
and I was very close to him, his
passing hit me hard, ive never been
good at showing my feelings in
person, only in writing. Him passing lead me to write this.
