Little and grey,
Happily Introduced.
Soft and mushy,
Blank on the face.
Sweetly connected.
Strong feelings,
Far from love.
A hippo sat in place.

I look back
And think,
About the changes
He has made.
I start to smile,
Who am I to judge?
It is what it is.
The hippo sits in place.

I wrote this because I got a little grey hippo from my boyfriend, and we broke up, but it is really valuable to me. I changed a lot, but he didn't, but I denied ever changing.
