Secrets
With all that is here, I hope you’re still near,
To all that has happened, I pray it hasn’t dampened.
You’re laughter would fill rooms like the fresh smell of flowers,
But what that laughter was hiding was only what you had encountered.
You seemed so confident in a world so big,
But underneath you felt as small as a sad little pig.
Only I knew you’re secrets,
All the good and bad,
The one I hate most is when you said, “Please don’t cry when I’m dead.”
I kept you’re secrets, told not one soul,
Now it me and your family, standing as though were no longer a whole.
I stood by your side, knowing what was wrong,
I only blame myself, knowing that I could have done more.
You though the world was against you, but the only thing that was against you was yourself.
I pray to you, and wishing it wasn’t true,
You were my best friend but you couldn’t make it thru.
I love you so much, and hold you near and dear,
With all that has happened, I hope you’re still near.
