Andrew Martinez
On February 4, 1996
Started the life of my twin and I
Alter egos in the making
We almost had to say goodbye
He rules the school like a king
He is popular in their eyes
Even after dying his bangs
Using a very pink hair dye
He takes to football and paintball
Not following the stereotype
But skateboarding is his favorite
He loves tearing it on the half pipe
He’ll deny being a class clown
Since he gets away with teacher’s pet
Straight A honor roll student
Soon to be an early graduate
Never a violent person
He became a victim in a fight
Left beaten, bruised and broken
Unfound until late at night
I don’t understand why anyone would do it
Just because Andrew so happens to like another guy
All I could do was sit and cry in silence
Pleading to God “Why?”
I’m so thankful he’s okay
For I’ll be lost without my twin
I have to tell someone to stop borrowing my eyeliner
So It might as well be him
