And hip hop songs
Can't compare to my Rio heat
Coal-burning sand and
Beach trails, on the sidewalk
Samba hits blasting off beach shops
Tourists' watches being watched
By hungry kids on the street,
Killer waves and killer gazes of
Women in skinny bikinis shaping
The curves of bodies blossoming
And boys gossiping
About the game last night
The figure of "meu Pai"
Came to my mind
In the midst of this tide
Knocking me down, outright,
Reminding me this is not Rio,
Jamais.
