Trapped
Drenched in sunlight,
she slipped through the gates,
gold flecks glittering in her hair.
Searching for secrets,
she was whisked into our world,
dark eyes glinting in the moonlight.
She stood alone,
surrounded by cold,
sorrow keen to penetrate her heart.
Sorrow turned to anger,
and anger turned to madness.
Insanity danced circles in her head.
Fire rained down.
Tears poured from her eyes.
The world was ripped to shreds.
Awaking from reality,
she was trapped in a daydream,
praying to be saved from herself.
