The King

A long night of solace
an eternal peace
the world of silence
a hidden keep
the lost now found
a path unseen
new life rises
a forgotten dream
the king of old
may tell his tale
but alas
he did not prevail
his tower is gone
and his crown lay broken
but his dreams remain
his soul forgotten
yet here he is
old and frail
with a story to tell
of his old home
though long lost now
his old wise eyes
will say more than any words
for through his eyes
great secrets were seen
and his dream survived
that old wise king
