The Hidden Spot
There is a secret place my sisters and I shared,
nobody knew what or where.
A key unlocked that spot,
inside was a lot.
A drawer where we hid food,
bonding put us in a good mood.
When we lost the key,
we told my dad to open up and see.
He laughed when he saw what was there,
I am surprised he didn’t care.
Leftover snacks took up that place,
the food wasn’t edible, we didn’t race.
The food was very old,
It looked like mold.
What the drawer would hold if we had it today,
food is the logical answer, I say.
