Do you remember?
Remember when I was you
When I was small, innocent, and cute
Not a care in the world
Never been alone

Yes
I do remember you
You once were me too
But you left and grew
And forgot
Now tell me
Do you remember?

No
I can't remember
What I used to be
She's long gone
A stranger to me
But I still chase her
And her perfection
Something that I know
I'll never own again

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece about and to my younger self. I was inspired to write this because I've recently been through a lot of hardship that I feel has made me grow up to fast. It explains how I feel that I've lost that innocent little girl that I used to be.
