7 Billion Hearts
400 thousand
eyes glistening
as they open wide each day. 2.7
billion people getting ready for work.
310 lips connecting as one under the
Eiffel Tower. 47 thousand kids playing carelessly
in a park, forgetting all their troubles. 690 million people enjoying the most important meal of the day. 67 million people dancing to the beat, drinking away their worries, living stress-free. 5
million teenagers listening to that one song that transports them to a new world. 900 thousand families travelling across the world. 56 thousand shopaholics randomly searching the racks for the best find. 3 million toddlers taking their first steps with proud parents behind them. 750 thousand feet strolling through the beach, sand between their toes. 2 billion people dreaming about love, as they sleep. 689 fans screaming their lungs out for that one person that will never
notice them. 3 billion women. 4 billion men. 7 billion hearts. 700 thousand heartbreakers.
60 thousand grieving the loss of a friend. 1 million praying to a god, real or not. 1 billion
people daydreaming about a place where they would much rather be. 999 thousand
falling hard for a stranger on the streets. 2 million elderly souls telling the stories
of wisdom and experience. 558 thousand middle school girls giggling over
the smile sent across the room. 3.2 million people wishing upon a star
at 11:11 P.M. 3.9 hopeless romantics wanting to write the love of
their life a note. 7 billion hearts smiling, at one point in the
day. Confused yet? That’s the point. My perception may
not be accurate. Neither is yours. Neither is his.
Neither is hers. The truth depends on your
view of the world. Think far beyond.
After all, we are all simply 7
Billion Hearts.
