Wet feet and short lived - coffee breaks.
Drops on my face,
a condensation sensation.
Drawing shapes with fingertips,
watching water drip, drip, drip.
There is still fire underneath my pillow.
Tingling thoughts tickle my dreams,
a spirit traveler sits across from me.
Waves travel through the air-
it’s a warrior.
Fighting coyote demons.
He sits in the sand,
weighed down locks, black as grease,
the wind tugs at his hair, striving.
Striving to be free.
