Stopwatch
It seems like just last week
I was saying you passed away
Even though it still feels like yesterday
I’m already saying “he passed away last year”
 Like time has been flying
 But I’m standing still
And it seems everyone else has moved on
 But I’m stuck in place
 In time
 And in space
 I remember your boyish grin
And the laugh that always followed
And I’m still finding this whole thing rather hard to swallow
 You aren’t here now
 Metaphysically speaking
 But if I stay quiet
I can still hear your heart beating
 Its getting weaker
 As time goes on
But if I turn my head
 Just the right way
 Its as if
 I haven’t missed a day
