Standing on the edge,
Feeling the surfaces on my feet damped and wet
Looking ahead,
Seeing waves of blue splash on the rocks
The sky blue, purple, pink and orange
Seeing the day die down and taking summer with it
Thinking of my past year and what’s coming in my future
And how it now my senior year
From freshman year,
It was my dream to walk across the stage
With my diploma in my hand
Knowing graduation is only a year away,
Still confused about what lays in my future,
Just wishing I could go back and rewind
When all this was still just a dream
