Holding back the Lies
When you have done a wrong.
And wish to change it.
But cant find the words, place, or time.
When you stutter and start.
And say “never mind.”
It wasn’t the right place.
You hadn’t the right words.
It wasn’t the right time.
You want to right the wrong.
You want to stop the lies.
But the more try.
The more it isn’t the right words, place, or time.
You want to smile.
Not held back by lies.
You want let go.
Of the weight on your shoulders.
But it isn’t the right words, place, or time.
