He gnashed teeth, gnarled fingers
clawed drooping flesh.
Air whispered through hollow,
bones break.
Lips chattered from old talk,
remembering the vigor.
Renouncing life,
caressing dissolution.


The author's comments:
I wanted this piece to be directed towards death. The main subject is an older man, or a bag of bones, who has willingly given up life and accepted the fact he will soon die.
