Allusion Poem

Whenever a poem
knocks on my head,
I am a different person
Like I am with the substitute.
I started writing
Right off the bat,
But I couldn't write
Like i did the old days.
But i still have my warrior attitude
Like David did against Goliath.
It wasn't as fast as a french girl,
but when the idea visited my head,
Reward was sweet as an apple.
some parts were sour,
but eventually, it ripened
like high school reunion gossip to
a love poem.
Once sweet apple was mine,
I was tempted to eat it
I glanced at the apple,
I know i shouldn't,
but temptation kept on pushing me.
I gave up, i ate.
I did not have an apple anymore.
One day, I won't listen to temptation,
One day, people will get to try my apple.
this is a story of my life.
