I look out the window
And watch the rain fall.
It splatters onto the road.

Wondering what it would be like
To be a poor little raindrop

They fall from way up in the sky.
All the way to the ground
Where there time as a raindrop ends.
They fall softly when it’s just a sprinkle.
They also fall hard in a storm.
I wonder which one they prefer.

Wonder what they think about
As they fall to their death.
Are they happy that they die softly
Or would they rather die hard?
It makes you wonder.

When raindrops fall hard in a storm
They fall fast to their death.
They splatter hard onto earth.
Perhaps that’s the way they want to go.
I would rather die fast then die slow.
