Ah-ha Moment

The wall is cold like a winter blizzard had just passed through. The rough texture gently cuts her soft skin as she slides down its lengthy magnitude. Her knees slowly embrace the release of pressure and strain as the solid ground gave her a wiry source of comfort; although, she could never get close for peace. The air hung heavily with mazes of thoughts and questions with no answers near. She rests her delicate chin of her hot, wet face on her firm shoulder as the hands greedily reached for her. They were close enough to give her tingly goose bumps as the heat of their breath rolled across her neck. The touch was gentle and unthreatening as its aroma entered her nostrils flooding her mind with a dark cloud. Her body goes limp and her soul feels empty as she loses all hope. Welcome to depression.

I titled this "Ah-ha Moment" because I actually wrote this two years ago and as I read it tonight I pondered...why did I write this? Then it hit me, I was recently diagnosed with depression and now I realize what I was describing years ago.
