Temperatures of Falling
One, two, three, four, five…
Street lights along the sidewalk stay alive.
This pathway is where he and I talk,
A divergent street on which we walk.
While we wander, our hands intertwine.
I experience butterflies as his fingers meet mine.
His palms are soft, resembling hair on a foal.
I’m falling in love as we take our stroll.
On the left, the umbrella shades us from the dazzling leaves tinted red.
It protects us, on the right, from the wintry gloom that is dead.
Next to the pavement are the lamps that shine bright.
Various sensations of cool and warm through the night.
Each side holds an opposite appearance,
Yet they both fit together and join as one adherence.
