stuck in the same routine
surrounded by the same four walls
buried beneath the light
Unable to spread your wings

can’t get out, can’t escape
narrow bars keeping you in
holding you back
fearful to try and escape

experiencing the world
that no longer is an option
no options concludes to no freedom

spreading your wings is no longer an option
unable to express one-self
unable to experience the world
narrow bars keeping him caged

caged birds are like those behind bars
individuals no longer able to see light
light becomes fear
unable to spread your wings

bars being what you see every second
wishing to explore the universe
day by day praying to become free

spreading your wings will come one day
don’t give up on letting them spread
those narrow bars will vanish
keep trying, they will spread
