My Shades of Blue
Blue brings me to sea.
The crashing waves
up and down
along the coastline
Florida’s to be specific.
I feel relaxed and calm
staring at my Capri Blue walls
tucked in my bed
against the wall,
with a mural of palm trees,
furthest from the door,
next to the window
feeling the midnight blue cold breeze of the winter air
as I wrap myself in a fuzzy blue blanket,
underneath my Hawaiian style comforter,
depressed.
I wish I was somewhere warmer,
somewhere further,
somewhere exotic,
somewhere less dark blue,
and somewhere more baby blue,
like West Palm Beach Florida.
There would no longer be a need for that
fuzzy blue blanket.
Instead it would be
warm sand and clear blue skies
feelings of a soothing sensation
rush through me
as I dive into the endless sea of blue.
No longer would I feel depressed like dark blue
but relieved and at peace with the light color blue
like the shade of blue on my walls.
