What Does an Olympic Athlete Eat For Breakfast?
I woke up to the smell of freshly made pancakes and sizzling bacon
I could barely feel the stairs under my feet
The smell captured me and pulled me in
The Olympic games from the night before replaying on the flat screen
As I sat down to devour the meal I thought to myself……what does an Olympic athlete eat for breakfast?
Raw eggs and spinach leaves?
Or maybe they don’t eat breakfast at all and instead feast on the sunlight streaming on their faces as they go for a gentle morning jog
I could never be an Olympic athlete
These pancakes and syrup just too good to ever give up
The healthy green tea and the raw egg shakes wouldn’t satisfy my beastly hunger
I could never be a Hope Solo or an Allison Felix
Always healthy
No sugar
No additives
Always Healthy
So please, don’t make me give up my delightful Saturday morning meals
My fantastically sugary breakfasts
I could never eat health shakes and vitamin pills for breakfast
Not unless I’m being held at gunpoint
