Tiny raindrops
Slowly coming
Down to earth like pebbles
Sliding down the sill

Dark gloomy skies
No sun to brighten a frown
Nor day
Just darkness seeping
Through the curtain

People’s moods reflecting on the day
No bright,
Laughing
Happy faces

Mummy like people walking
Emotionless and wrapped up
Saying little to nothing

Because on this day
Dark gloomy skies
Had raindrops
Falling down
