I Remember
I Remember the way we walked,
I Remember the way we talked,
I Remember our beach trips here and there,
With the clear water and fresh air.
I remember how it used to be,
The day we met under that tree.
All the weird things that would happen to us,
Those days and nights when we went to sleep and woke up,
When we used those bobby pins for keys,
To break in, but you would sneeze,
I Remember how we used to match our hair,
Now all is done and done is well,
But where we are now is as good as then.
