their proper place,
a superlative sentence designed.
Different venues
and eras visited.
plots like roads
advanced and twisted.
Harper Lee wrote
of the purity in youth
and the value
in truth.
Romeo and Juliet
told of the unwise
lovers who remained together
even amidst their demise.
Imagery painted
words into a masterpiece.
The limits of language
never seeming to cease.
Vocabularies extended
and visions clear
we venture into next year.
