Saccharine
Sweet
Sweet sweet sweet but no
substance yet. How long
can sweet last? Don’t sugarcoat it, but I want to know
if I - we -
can be made full. Meaningful(l). Tell me
what you mean. Sweet and working its way -
our way - to spiced.
Did you sprinkle
some cocaine on top to
addict me?
I bet
you
did.
Sweet sweet sweet you are but sugar
crumbles, dissolves until you can’t see it
but you know it’s sweet. You’re
saccharine you’re slow
honey I’m a hummingbird
nectar phosphorescence vanilla you’re grape
jelly we’re grape jelly so slide
and glop on over to me.
(That’s unattractive, but
I still like you.)
And you
use your tongue all the time so you should know
what I mean when I say,
You’re sweet, but
you’re something I want to savor.
