Cold
Twisted trees,

like broken bones.
Tangled spine and broken nose.

Dripping red and white with snow.

River ice,

and windows closed.

Frozen bodies underground.

Warm flesh sleeping sound.

Fingers raw and skin bare.

At the window it will,

claw and tear.
