The Wanderer's Ramble
My tale begins
in a world far away.
Or was it last Tuesday?
Never mind me.
I was walking alone
down the street, picking flowers.
Gazing at such beautiful ruined buildings
of the like I’m sure you’ve seen.
I heard something behind me,
Something horrible and bad and smelly
A thing so nasty, and wicked, and in bad taste.
Hah, you should have seen my face!
My heart raced
-against what I don’t know-
and I dubiously turned to face the fiend.
The beast was no larger than you, or than I, or than itself.
But it’s presence marked it to be more horrifying then myself.
I must have held my breath for twenty seconds,
As the creature waved its hand.
A gesture so lofty it reminded me of coconuts!
My feet took me away to flee
attempting to keep my wits with me.
I got away fine, as you can clearly see.
Me and ol’ Delilah, and did I mention me?
