Dinosaur Jacket
I wear a jacket,
a dinosaur jacket.
I wear this jacket
everyday. This jacket
makes me feel secure. The jacket
is a new and tattered jacket.
I always wear jacket
with the sleeves down. The jacket
hides the scars on my arms. Jacket
is my friend. Jacket
never tells my secrets. Jacket
embraces me and jacket
doesn't judge me. Jacket
doesn't call me horrible things like whore and b****. Jacket soaks up the blood that I have spilled. Jacket hides the scars on my arms that have stopped me from killing myself and others. Jacket kept the secret of my pain
and hid me from those who had hurt me. Jacket helped me release my pain as I take took the undeserved punishments in silence. Jacket has never called me a whore.
Jacket understands me,
jacket helps me.
Jacket is tattered and torn.
Jacket shows how I am on the inside.
Jacket is my friend because when my mother starts yelling at me and calling me awful things and starts to make me feel like I am nothing. Jacket helped secure the cuts on my arms. Jacket is new and has been worn down so fast. Just like me. Jacket will never betray me.
Jacket is my only friend.
My jacket is a dinosaur.
