Dreams
In life, dreams run away
Fleeing with the wind, laughing as they go
Taunting catch me if you can
 Never looking back
One tries to forget, till they long for something more
 But wait- it’s too late
The dream’s already out the door
The picture once so vivid, painted in your head
Spiraling away, bleeding colors as it falls
You can follow a dream for only so long, it’s a hazy twisting trail
You’ll find a dead end, where your world seems to stop
And your heart starts to drop,
 Knowing all is lost
When you realize your dream has done you wrong
It’s like forgetting the words to your favorite song
 When you need it most
But dreams don’t vanish, no they don’t just disappear
You’re dream can travel far, but can also be near
Years from now, you might meet someone else
Who you might want to give,
the dream you made for yourself
