I close my eyes as the wind combs through my hair
to my body being engulfed by the chill in the air
to the way the leaves make a crinkling sound
as they dance upon the ground
I close my eyes listening to the mocking birds sing to me
to understanding their unique harmony
to their natural, born freedom to fly
So deep into the unknown sky
I close my eyes understanding life's miracles
to know something so small and unique
makes an impact on everything we see
I close my eyes knowing that having a life is a blessing
To never forgetting that life and death is something so lyrical
Because both is a miracle, to live and to die
