“When someone says you've changed, it's only because you stopped living your life their way.”

They fall to a mind, so graceful, so loud
The earthquake of woes creating a shroud
For beneath, all wished are dead, yet they
Moan for revival, a chance to betray
All they had once been, consuming the lives
Of their weakening hosts they’ll soon cast aside

Fed plump with the greed from wasted hopes
They leave one to shrivel and die, unable to cope
With the rejection they face as they have before
A true heart stops beating; they bleed out on the floor
Making trespassing a task, so falling victim is rare
A now deadened soul is far more aware

Though they swear they’ll behave, they aren’t what they seem
For one never believes it was only a dream

I wrote this piece about a dream I had the night before about my boyfriend going missing. In another dream I had the same night, he returned, but I was still worried when I woke up.
