Father, Oh Father! You're not worth this page.
Just thinking of you fills me with rage.
You came and went and never looked back.
You can't even pay child support you lazy sack!

All our lives we have had to miss out on a dad,
But you know, life without you wasn't half bad.
Me never knowing you is kind of a bummer,
But I know I'll always have Mom and my Brother.

So screw your excuses and your "hard times".
You could have been there, so save your tears and sighs.
I hate your whole face and the rest of you too.
I never knew my Father boo hoo.

The saddest part is I wish he was dead,
Then I'd have an excuse for why I don't have a dad.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem a few years ago about my father because he abandoned my brother and I when we were very young. We have struggled a lot, and I partially blame him for it.
Close to when this was written I had made contact with him online and he went on to tell me about his life, how he has 3 cars and a big house etc. while he wouldn't even pay child support.
He rubs me the wrong way and this was how I expressed that.
