Favorite Quote:
Friends are like potatoes. When you eat them, they die.

As I gaze into those tear stained eyes

I can see the past hardships that has befallen them

I can see them

As they traversed through the sands of time

As they swam through the tears of blood cried by the victims of devastation

I can see them

As they took countless burns by the fires of death

As they fasted in the times of starvation

I can see them

As they took a hit by the hammer of crushed dreams

As they came out standing tall no matter what the world throws at them

As they told fate screw you, and spat back in it’s face

I can see them

As they survived the wars caused by men who know nothing true perseverance.

I did this for english class. We had to look at a picture of our choice and write a poem about something in the picture. I chose the eyes of what I think is the picture of a war victim.
