Ink Covers the paper from header
To footer. "Words, words, words."
Some meaningful, some
Not. Handwriting follows the
Passage of time. A girlish: slow;
A boyish: fast. Too many words to
Say too little. Keep descriptions like
Flowers. Dialogue like rough waves.

The page is stained with
Nothingness. No going back.
What a waste, "Words, words, words,"
Just to look sophisticated.

The author's comments:
The poem deals with putting words down on the page simply to add length so it looks like the writer knows what he or she is talking about.

"Words, words, words" is an illusion to Hamlet by Shakespeare.
